Call for Proposals - First Half 2012
With this extraordinary call the Istituto di Radioastronomia offers
observing time with its telescopes at Medicina and Noto for the rest of the
current semester to May 31, 2012.
Both antennas can be employed as single dishes for spectroscopic and
continuum observations.
The antenna at Noto has undergone major maintenance work and is now under
test which is expected to be completed by the end of March. For the
remaining two months of the on-going semester proposals for Noto can be
submitted.
At Medicina, a new K-band double-horn receiver will be commissioned and
should become operative in the period between mid April and mid May.
Only proposals requiring the 22-GHz receiver can be accepted.
Further details on the submission procedure and characteristics of the
instruments currently available can be found at
http://www.ira.inaf.it/Observing/Observing_time_extra.html
The proposals will be peer-reviewed and should be submitted before midnight
of March 1, 2012.
Due to the critical funding situation we are unable to guarantee full
technical support beyond standard working hours.
