The 4th EMU International meeting will be hosted by the Radioastronomy Institute (INAF-IRA) in Bologna (Italy), on September 12th-13th, 2011. The meeting is aimed at bringing together people interested in the EMU project to discuss scientific topics and related technical issues which are relevant to EMU, in view of the first test observations that will be carried out with an ASKAP sub-array of six antennas (BETA) in 2012.
This meeting will particularly focus on:
a) galaxy clusters,
b) physics and evolution of star-forming galaxies and AGNs,
c) stars and the Milky Way.
A limited number of talks will be accommodated, to let room for ample discussion sessions. Oral contributions and suggestions for discussion topics are invited from all participants.
The meeting is open both to EMU members and to other interested astronomers, that are willing to become active in one of the EMU design study/science working groups. There will be no registration fee, but registration is requested because only a limited number of participants can be accommodated (max 40).
A telecon/videocon system will be operating in the workshop room.
H323 or SIP connections with H239 should work for whoever wants to attend the workshop remotely.

The workshop will take place in the seminar room at the 4th floor of the INAF Istituto di Radioastronomia which is located in Bologna, at the C.N.R. Area di Ricerca.
To reach the campus you can take a taxi to "via Gobetti 101" or the bus number 87 (from the central railway station the bus stop is in Via dell'Indipendenza) and get off at the bus terminus (stop Gobetti C.N.R.). See the map for directions and the timetable.
