05 - 10 September 2011, Rimini, Italy
Hosted by the INAF - Institute of Radioastronomy
Supported by RadioNet and Alma Mater Studiorum (Bologna)
Deadline for registration: 30 June 2011
This school is the fourth in a series of summer schools supported by RadioNet. The goal of these schools is to disseminate knowledge on modern radio interferometry.
Previous ERIS Schools:
Manchester, 5-9 September 2005 (http://www.radionet-eu.org/rnwiki/SchoolOrganisationPages)
Bonn, 10-15 September 2007 (http://www.mpifr-bonn.mpg.de/div/eris/)
Oxford, 7-11 September 2009 (http://astrowiki.physics.ox.ac.uk/ERIS2009)
The school will cover both the basics of radio interferometry, data handling and analysis, as well as new developments as provided by ALMA and LOFAR.
The program will consist of lectures and tutorials.
Note that a single-dish summer school will take place at Cagliari (Sardinia) in the period from Sep 11 to 17 (i.e. the week after ERIS). ERIS students who intend to participate in both schools can apply for travel support for their transfer to Cagliari. Further details are available at:
