By plane
The Bologna Airport Marconi (BLQ) is the closest large international airport, connected to a large number of European destinations by many airlines, including several low-cost carriers. If you fly into Bologna, you may take the Airport Bus BLQ to the Central Railway station (the single ticket is 6,00 Euros) and then a train to Rimini. The Airport Bus runs every 15 minutes, and there are many trains connecting Bologna and Rimini, in about 1.5 h. Please consult the Italian Railway Timetable.
As a renowned resort area, Rimini has its own airport, Rimini International Airport (IATA: RMI)
A bus service connects the airport to the nearby (7 km) railway station in the town centre. Some low cost airlines also fly into Forli, Forli Airport (IATA: FRL), located around 55 km from Rimini. Buses connect Forli airport and Railway Station, where you can catch a train to Rimini. There are several trains each hour connecting Forli and Rimini. The journey lasts about 30-40 minutes depending on the train.
By train
There is a train line that runs up and down the coast from Rimini, to Ravenna and Bologna in the north and Ancona in the south. Please check the Timetable.
By car
The A14, a six-lane motorway known as the autostrada del mare runs away to the north. The SS 72 heads inland towards San Marino. The SS16 heads in from the North and Ravenna.
