Comments on reducing the Lupus line data: (courtesy of Adele Plunkett (ESO/NAOJ) Source: CO Line emission in the Lupus region around 18h09m18s,-39d04'04" covering about a 4x2 armin region over a velocity range of 12 km/s. The channel resolution is 0.3 km/s. There is little continuum emission. Data: 1) 12 meter array with 43 antennas with max baseline 350 meters. There were three 45-min executions in a row. 2) 7-meter array data with 11 antennas. There were nine observing blocks, each about 40 min long. 3) Total power image. Imaging: 1) The goal is to obtain a good quality image of the CO emission from the above three date types. 2) Each produce will be 'checked' for quality 3) The 12m and 7m interferometric data will be combined and imaged. 4) The Total power image will be added. Script: The script reduction_lupus.py is included. At the present time it does not include the interferometric image plus TP image combination. Documentation is contained inthe script. An interesting part of the workshop will be the later stages of this reduction.
