Neng-Hui Liao (Guizhou University , China), “AGN jets in early cosmic times: from gamma rays to the multimessenger perspective”
AGN jets are luminous cosmic beacons that shed light on the early formation and mass growth of supermassive black holes. However, the physical properties of jets in the early universe, and the role they play in that epoch, remain poorly understood. Among the broadband energy outputs, gamma-ray emission from high-z jets (blazars) provides crucial information on jet physics. So far, the most distant GeV gamma-ray emitter is the blazar B3 1428+422 at z = 4.72. In this talk, I will give a brief overview of studies of high-z gamma-ray blazars, including their detection and identification, multiwavelength and multi-messenger variability behavior, and implications for future observations.
