The IRA Library is organized as follows.
- Room 514 – third floor hosts the library of PhD Theses and those Master’s Theses that were carried out at IRA. Room 408 – second floor hosts the print collection of IRA Technical Report until 2005. Observatory Communications and some printed collections of astronomical journals that are not easily retrievable on the Web are available as well.
Together with the INAF – Osservatorio di Astrofisica e Scienza dello Spazio (OAS) in Bologna, IRA owns a collection of approximately 3000 books, dating back to the 1920s, which is now hosted in the Bologna Research Area Library.
