The nearest airport to Noto is Catania International Airport, with good connections to hubs such as Amsterdam, Munich, Rome. From Catania Airport to Noto, it is about an hour drive on highway.

Shuttles to Catania airport will depart from Hotel Sofia on Friday, May 18, at 06.50am and 11.40am, and on Saturday, May 19, at 06.00am and 09.50am. Please check your name is in the correct one on the sheet at registration desk.

Public bus by AST (http://www.aziendasicilianatrasporti.it) and Interbus (http://www.interbus.it/Home.aspx) depart near Hotel Flora (via Pola), where tickets can be purchased. Arrivals
We will provide shuttle transportation free of cost for all participants on Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13. At your arrival at Catania’s Airport you will find a smart big man with a “Welcome IAUS342 participant” board. He will shepherd you till the shuttle will leave towards Noto. Shuttles will leave Catania airport at 12:00, 17:00 and 23:00 Saturday May 12 and at 14:00 (will wait for flights landing until 13.50), 18:30 (will wait for flights landing until 18:15), and 23:00 on Sunday May 13.
People arriving on Monday or later will be contacted individually.
Bus services are also available. Carlo may help you with them, too. It takes about 1.5 hours between Catania airport and Noto by bus. The symposium will take place in Grand Hotel Sofia just outside historic downtown Noto, except for the first day when we will be hosted by the Tina di Lorenzo Theatre.
